FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Do Physiolac BIO cereals contain milk?

Physiolac BIO cereals are formulated without milk. However, they are manufactured in a plant where milk might be used: therefore, the product could contain traces of milk.

  • Why are the infant formulas for 1st age not presented on the site?

Breast milk is the most suitable food for the specific needs of infants. Physiolac supports the WHO recommendation to exclusively breastfeed for the first six months of life. Therefore, no advertisement on formula for infants between 0 and 6 months of age will be presented on our site. For further advice, consult a healthcare professional.

  • How can I get my child used to the new Physiolac formula?

To gently accustom your child to these new flavors, we recommend that you offer the new formula gradually by alternating bottles. From the age of 6 months, you can also add infant cereals to the bottle. If you have any questions, you can contact us or get in touch with a healthcare professional who can best advise you on this transition.

  • Why is there a different smell and taste in the new Physiolac infant formulas?

In 2020, all infant formulas on the market must comply with new regulations. The composition of infant formulas is evolving with, among other things, the mandatory addition of a substantial content of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). It is a polyunsaturated fatty acid Omega 3, derived from fish oil. Incorporated in deodorized and micro-encapsulated form, this DHA can modify the perception of smell and taste by its more iodized note. This iodized note is less noticeable in our Physiolac Bio formulas, since it is masked by the organic milk cream that we incorporate into it.

  • How to recycle a Physiolac milk can?

The plastic lid must be discarded. The metal box and the metal seal should be recycled.

  • What are FOS and GOS fibres?

There are many oligosaccharides, including GOS (Galacto-OligoSaccharides) and FOS (Fructo-OligoSaccharides). These are carbohydrates which cannot be absorbed by the organism and which are different due to their composition of simple sugars. These fibres arrive in the colon unchanged and can therefore be used directly by the intestinal flora.

  • What is the ORGANIC cream for?

The ORGANIC cream in Physiolac BIO formulas contains fatty acids and structured lipids in the SN-2 position which makes them similar to the fat content of breast milk.

  • Why is iron in the form of bisglycinate well-absorbed by the organism?

In this form, iron is bound to glycine molecules which are amino acids. These bonds protect the iron molecule from stomach acidity and the action of gastric juices. Therefore, iron is protected and well-absorbed by the infant.

  • Do Physiolac BIO formulas contain palm oil?

Due to environmental concerns, notably on the question of the deforestation of palm trees, Physiolac has chosen not to use palm oil in their ORGANIC formulas.

  • Are your baby cereals sweetened?

Our baby cereals contain no added sugar but rather naturally occurring sugars (for example, in fruit flakes or in the cereals themselves).

  • What is the advantage of certified ORGANIC formulas?

Certified ORGANIC formulas comply with two sets of regulations: those on infant food and those on the Organic Farming method.

The advantages of an ORGANIC formula reside in the ecological nature of the products:

    • Cows are preferably fed with ORGANIC food,
    • Respect of animal well-being,
    • Restricted and highly regulated use of phytosanitary and veterinary products for grazing.

  • What is DHA?

DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is a fatty acid that belongs to the omega 3 family. In Physiolac formulas, DHA is provided by deodorised encapsulated fish oil. All infant formulas on the market must comply with new regulations and must contain a minimum amount of DHA.

Important notice: breastfeeding is the best way to feed your child. Good maternal nutrition is important to prepare and continue breastfeeding. Partial breastfeeding can interfere with the breastfeeding process and it is difficult to backtrack on the choice not to breastfeed. It is important to follow the instructions for preparation and use of infant formulas. Formula that is incorrectly prepared could pose a health risk for the child.

Besides milk, water is the only other essential drink. Teach your child to avoid snacking between meals. Being active and playing are essential for your child’s development. www.mangerbouger.fr
